Iranian Security Chief Warns of Retaliation
Iran’s top security chief warns of strikes on U.S. bases if used against Iran and vows armed forces will continue until full independence is secured.

- Larijani said foreign powers sought to divide Iranians and weaken Iran through economic pressure and unrest, aiming to target Iran's leadership, including Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
- He said Tehran previously sent warnings to the United States through the Swiss Embassy and asserted Iran's armed forces are `stronger than ever` with `very strong capabilities` developed since earlier conflicts.
- Larijani warned any attack on Iranian territory would trigger strikes against U.S. bases and facilities in the region, while stating Iran has no intention of aggression toward regional neighbours.
- Larijani suggested the assault would unite the Iranian people and cited an alleged Steve Witkoff remark that Donald Trump was surprised by Iranian resilience, calling Trump `a symbol of plunder` under resource-driven U.S. policy.
