Fresno State Quarterback E.J. Warner, Son of NFL MVP Kurt Warner, Named Starter for Bulldogs, per Report

On Monday, Fresno State's coach Matt Entz announced E.J. Warner has won the quarterback competition and will start at Kansas on Aug. 23.
During training camp competition, E.J. Warner beat out Carson Conklin and Jayden Mandal for the starting role.
With 31 career starts across Temple and Rice, E.J. Warner has thrown for 8,814 yards, 58 touchdowns and 37 interceptions.
Coach Entz noted he doesn’t want E.J. Warner to get comfortable and will monitor his execution, emphasizing the importance of leadership and poise for the offense.
After a 6-7 campaign last season, Fresno State hopes Warner’s pedigree can lead to improvement under new head coach Matt Entz.
