MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUG 9 – Nearly 40 units responded to the third-alarm fire at a large warehouse, with firefighters containing the blaze after a partial roof collapse, officials said.
- Near 7500 NW 82nd Place in Medley, a warehouse fire erupted on Saturday afternoon, causing a roof partial collapse and smoke, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said.
- Facing the intensifying blaze, the department raised it to a third-alarm fire, triggering a response from more than 30 fire units, including aerial and hazardous materials teams.
- Nearly 40 Miami-Dade Fire Rescue units responded to the scene after 1:50 p.m., conducting defensive attacks from outside due to the roof collapse.
- MDFR later announced the fire was under control and no one was injured.
- MDFR said the cause investigation is ongoing as drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
