Vladimir Putin has long since damaged the West not only with his war on Ukraine. Russia also appears to be provoking specifically on the Baltic Sea.

In the Baltic Sea region, Russia and the West face each other as hard as nowhere else. Russia is increasingly aggressively testing the red lines of the alliance in the "bathtub of NATO".

A riot involving an oil tanker, presumably from Putin's shadow fleet, has also had consequences for Flemish tourists on a cruise in the Baltic Sea. They were unable to dock twice.
