- The mission also concluded that Iranian authorities committed crimes against humanity during deadly crackdowns on anti-government protests beginning in late December, involving unlawful killings, torture, and arbitrary detention.
- Investigators found the United States failed to verify that the Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab was a military objective, resulting in an indiscriminate attack that killed more than 150 people, including around 120 schoolchildren.
- White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly dismissed the findings, stating the UN Human Rights Council "accomplished nothing for human rights," while Tehran blamed the unrest on "terrorists and rioters" backed by foreign foes.
- The report will be presented to the Human Rights Council in Geneva on Monday, though findings carry no direct enforcement power and would require referral to the International Criminal Court for any criminal prosecution.
