BSW state party conference in Gera: Katja Wolf re-elected as state chairwoman

After the fall of the Bundestag election, Wagenknecht wanted to get rid of the pragmatic vice-government leader Katja Wolf.

Thuringia's BSW head of state Wolf has been confirmed in office at a party congress in Gera. She won a fight candidate against Landtag member Wirsing. The election was seen as an important signal in the power struggle between the BSW Federal President Wagenknecht and Wolf, who is also Deputy Prime Minister.

Sahra Wagenknecht has vehemently opposed Katja Wolf's plans to continue to lead the Thuringian BSW Landesverband – unsuccessfully. Several one-third-to-two-thirds votes testify to deep trenches.
