Petition: Ban Private Big Cat Ownership in Pakistan to Prevent More Attacks - One Green Planet
A lion attacked a family in Pakistan. It’s time to ban private big cat ownership before more lives are at risk. The post Petition: Ban Private Big Cat Ownership in Pakistan to Prevent More Attacks appeared first on One Green Planet.
The chance of a lion escaping and attacking people in our country, as happened earlier this week in Australia and Turkey, is small, says Tom De Coninck, a prevention advisor at Bellewaerde Park in Ypres. Several prevention protocols are in place at the park to prevent an escape. If a predator does escape, the emergency plan is activated. "We're taking no risks and will immediately deploy marksmen," he says.
