VIDEO. “I don't understand how that's possible”: VAR needs 7.5 minutes (!) to assess two penalty phases during Anderlecht-Union

Summary by Het Nieuwsblad
Anderlecht-Union had only just got going when the VAR had to get to work after a contact between N’Diaye and Khalaili on the edge of the penalty area. After a five-minute deliberation, referee Wim Smet blew a penalty. There was also a VAR intervention in the second half: this time there were two and a half minutes between the phase and the moment that Smet blew the penalty for Anderlecht. Together good for seven and a half minutes of VAR.
