Byron schools went into a soft lockdown at about 9:20 a.m., followed by Kasson-Mantorville at 9:42 a.m. and Hayfield Schools at 10:05 a.m.

Rose Creek, Minnesota’s Daniel Lewison found in Iowa

Daniel James Lewison, 55, of Rose Creek, Minnesota has an extensive criminal history, going back to at least 1989. On September 18, 2025, he posted a Facebook video of himself making threats toward several people. Later that day, he was found in Iowa.
