Update: The current severe thunderstorm warning for Cape May County will be expiring at 10:45 p.m.
The warning had been issued for Cape May County."The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and has exited the warned area. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight for southern New Jersey," according to the National Weather Service.

Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, heavy rain is still possible with this thunderstorm," states the National Weather Service.
