- Ukraine argues that Russia breached the Genocide Convention by wrongly claiming Ukraine was committing genocide against Russian-speaking people. Russia rejected the jurisdiction and called the case an "abuse of process."
- Separately, the court will also rule on Ukraine's complaint accusing Russia of bankrolling rebels in eastern Ukraine and discriminating against Crimea's multiethnic community.
