Person in Joe Biden Mask and Charlie Kirk Shirt Eats Banana on Texas Family's Doorbell Cam
Police said the masked visitor broke no law, and officers warned that prank behavior can spark dangerous confrontations.
- On Sunday, October 18, a masked individual wearing a Joe Biden mask and a "FREEDOM" T-shirt approached a Watauga, Texas home about 35 miles west of Dallas, rang the doorbell, and ate a banana before leaving.
- The Watauga family felt uneasy after the masked stranger performed the stunt on Pebblebrook Drive while only teenagers were inside the home, prompting them to call police and wait to see if the person would attempt entry.
- Watauga Police Department Chief Jim Lewis stated, "Although the individual's choice of attire and snack may have raised a few eyebrows, neither appears to have violated the law at this time." Officers found no evidence of criminal offense.
- Authorities cautioned that behavior intended as a prank can lead to dangerous confrontations and serious injury, while police noted awareness of similar reports across the community but no additional direct reports involving this individual.
- Online users dismissed the stunt as a "lame Halloween prank," though police encouraged residents to continue reporting suspicious activity, even when circumstances are, as Lewis quipped, "a little bananas.
