University of Tennessee breaks ground on new student center to replace vacant dormitory

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — A new 116,000-square-foot student center is under construction on the campus of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The center will replace Melrose Hall dormitory, which has been vacant since 2009. The new facility, located between Hess Hall and John C.
