Ukraine may be forced to import 6.3 billion cubic meters of gas for the 2025-26 winter season as its reserves have fallen to a record low, Serhiy Makohon, former head of the independent HTS Operator of Ukraine, said on Telegram on Sunday.

"According to my calculations, if we take into account the volume of domestic production, it will require importing at least 5.5 billion cubic meters of gas, and preferably 6.3 billion."
