- Law enforcement officials report Iran-backed proxies increasingly recruit criminal groups to conduct sabotage across Europe. Earlier this month, two Romanian men received prison sentences for stabbing a Persian-language journalist on behalf of the Iranian state.
- The European Union listed the Revolutionary Guard as a terrorist organization in January, citing Tehran's crackdown on protests. Britain now joins that stance, though there has been no immediate comment from Iran.
