HCFAA brings ‘Anastasia’ to Chaffee County

On July 12, High Country Fine Arts Association started rehearsals for “Anastasia.” The musical is a fictional retelling of the Romanov Family, inspired by an urban legend that Tsar Nicholas II’s daughter Anastasia escaped the family’s executions.

Once a year, Umpqua Actors Community Theatre (UACT) puts on a production that goes all out, bringing big casts and big stories to the big stage. This time around, it’ll be turning to post-imperial Russia for inspiration with “Anastasia.”
