Two 19-year-olds are scheduled to appear in the Invercargill District Court today charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a young child was severely injured in Otautau.

Child In Hospital After Otautau Incident

A young child is in a critical condition and two teenagers have been charged after a serious injury at an Otautau address on Sunday night. Emergency services were called to the property at around 6:50pm. The child was taken to Southland Hospital, where they remain in a critical condition.
