- On June 7, Ukraine's Security Service detained two Russian operatives suspected of placing an explosive device beneath the vehicle of an employee at the Dnipro prosecutor's office the previous day.
- The agents were recruited via Telegram channels and instructed by Russian intelligence to monitor the prosecutor and carry out the attack.
- The suspects placed an improvised explosive device under the prosecutor's vehicle, injuring a law enforcement officer and destroying the vehicle completely.
- The SBU said both detainees provide incriminating evidence against their Russian handlers and noted the prosecutor's life is not currently in danger.
- The two men face terrorism charges and could be sentenced to up to 12 years in prison if convicted.
