The President of the United States, Donald Trump, said this Friday (22) that the “Peace Council may join the United Nations” during his speech at the launch of the initiative in Davos, Switzerland. Trump stated that it would formalise the Council's Constitutional Charter and hold the first meeting of the group this Friday too. The group was announced in 2025 when the US leader revealed plans to end the war in the Gaza Strip.
