Construction Work over Whitsun: Deutsche Bahn Cuts Long-Distance Traffic Into Saarland – so Travellers Still Get On

Just before Pentecost construction works begin on the long-distance route of the Deutsche Bahn (DB) to and from Saarbrücken. This means that travellers have to choose different routes. The SZ provides an overview of the blocked and alternative routes.

Construction works in June lead to restrictions on the lines between Kiel, Rendsburg and Eckernförde. However, all visitors to Kiel Week don't have to worry: the Nordbahn uses extra trains.

Nuremberg - On the railway line between Nuremberg and Augsburg there are restrictions and failures for two weeks. Deutsche Bahn has established a replacement service.
