Track and Field: Nelson wins twice at Griak Indoor Classic

MINNEAPOLIS — Brainerd’s Ty Nelson won the long jump with a 21-foot-7 leap and the triple jump with a 47-3.5 in the Griak Indoor Classic Maroon Meet Friday, March 28, at the University of Minnesota. Wyatt Brown finished third in the triple jump in 42-2.5 and sixth in the long jump in 20-2. Ben Stadum ran the 1600-meter run in 4:35.49 for a third-place finish.
