- After Jake Rogers' injury early in the season, Dillon Dingler emerged as the starter and cemented the role on May 25 catching for Tarik Skubal's near-complete-game shutout.
- Defensively, Dillon Dingler, Detroit Tigers catcher, threw out 26 would-be base stealers, was one of two AL starters without a passed ball, and Skubal said `We were on the same page`.
- Dingler's win makes him the first Tigers catcher to claim a Gold Glove since Pudge Rodriguez in 2004-07 and the fourth ever after beating Alejandro Kirk and Carlos Narvaez.
