Extreme weather is hitting the rest of Europe too! Dozens of departments in France are under code orange for rain and storms. In the southeast of the country, in less than half an hour, hail destroyed dozens of crops and damaged several homes and cars. Slovenia was not spared from nature's fury either.
On Tuesday, 3 June, some 40 departments were placed under watch, 14 of them in orange, for the risk of violent thunderstorms.
The National Administration of Meteorology has issued an alert Code of exceptional temperatures and high thermal discomfort for the south-west and south-west of the country, valid during the winter.
The departments of Drôme and Ardèche have just been placed, by Météo-France, in orange vigilance for thunderstorms and rain-flooding, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., for the day of Wednesday 4 June.
