In the last year, 20.6 per cent of the population has required mental health care; in April 2024, 17.8 per cent were affected by psychological or emotional distress, according to data from the first wave of the Health Barometer of 2025, carried out by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with the Sociological Research Centre (CIS).
