Three forest fires were discovered in the Lakes District area on June 24, 2026. At the time of publication, a fire southwest of Grassy Plains is considered out of control. The fire is located approximately two km south of Wynkes Creek. It is currently 0.2 hectares in size. No further details on the cause or response were listed, as of June 25.
