This as the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an evacuation alert for the Pinkut Creek fire, 30 kilometres north of Burns Lake. The Pinkut Creek fire was lightning-caused and was first discovered on July 8. According to the BC Wildfire Service, it is 6,890 hectares in size.
