- Commissioner `uica argued the European Union should have a seat as the biggest donor and closest neighbour to Palestinians, focusing on empowering the Palestinian Authority despite critics warning the board could grant the United States outsized influence.
- The proposed board would be chaired by US President Donald Trump, first floated in early October to oversee Gaza reconstruction, economic recovery, and humanitarian coordination, while talks between the EU and the US over representation are ongoing.
- On Thursday, Dubravka `uica and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa will co-chair the inaugural Palestine Donor Group meeting, with 60 international delegations expected to attend.
- With Israel withholding revenues, Dubravka `uica warned the Palestinian Authority faces fiscal pressure, saying `We need them to release tax revenues for the Palestinian people, which is not the case`, and she said reconstruction requires Gulf countries and the American administration.
