This season in Ukraine, the number of bees, beekeepers and hives has decreased. However, the yield of honey was higher than last year, so the total production may remain at about the level of 2025. At the same time, the price of the product has already begun to decrease.
In Ağrı, approximately 357 tons of honey are targeted for harvest in 2026. With an average yield of 12.5 kilograms per hive, 4,000 empty hives will be produced with the support of the Provincial Special Administration to increase the production of geographically protected Ağrı Geven honey.
