Queen Letizia’s Daughter Raided Her Closet Not Once But Twice for This Major Royal Milestone
BALEARIC ISLANDS, AUG 4 – Princess Leonor honored tradition by wearing Queen Letizia's 80-euro dress at Marivent Palace as she prepares to become Spain’s first Queen Regnant in over a century.
- Princess Leonor attended the annual royal reception with her family and notable guests, including Rafael Nadal, at the royal family's summer residence in Mallorca on August 4.
- She returned in July from a six-month Spanish Navy training ship voyage, part of her ongoing three-year military training program.
- At the reception, Leonor borrowed an off-the-shoulder blue and white dress and espadrille wedges from Queen Letizia's closet, who originally wore them in 2023.
- King Felipe said Leonor's military training “will be very good for her” and “an experience that will remain among the best memories,” while Letizia expressed it meant “many months without seeing her.”
- Leonor's participation reaffirms her role as Spain's heir apparent and first Queen Regnant in over a century, preparing now for her final military training year at San Javier Air Force Academy.
