When a man hits a woman, it's like plowing a field, says one of the many Slovak proverbs that justify violence, especially against women. Except that such a field will not be more fertile. Nor will society prosper if it accepts violence. The performance Night in Istanbul from the Pavol Országh Hviezdoslav Theatre therefore opens up the topic of violence against women.
