The Government Would Extend the Validity of Vignettes and Eliminate Their Use on Coastal Expressways
The government proposes to extend the validity of vignettes by four months through an emergency law due to the numerous works currently being carried out on Slovenian motorways. It would also abolish the use of vignettes on coastal expressways as of 1 January 2026.
At a morning session as part of a regional visit to Pomurje in Murska Sobota, the government adopted a proposal for an emergency law, with which it will propose to the National Assembly for approval a four-month extension of the validity of annual vignettes. The Council of Ministers also decided that the use of vignettes for passenger vehicles on the coastal expressway will no longer be required.
