Spanish government agrees with Puigdemont's party on a ‘solidarity distribution’ of immigrant minors

The government in Madrid wants to accommodate underage migrants in mainland Spain and has decided on a corresponding re-regulation of the alien right. The opposition is divided on the agreement.

Isabel Díaz Ayuso has assured that the region will welcome unaccompanied minors because "even if they don't like it" they have to "comply with the law".

The law will allow the distribution of nearly 6,000 unaccompanied immigrant minors in Spain's 17 regions.

The distribution projections are that the smallest regions will have to receive the least effort so far: the Community of Madrid (806), Andalusia (795) and Valencian Community (478). Likewise, others, such as Catalonia (27), Balearic Islands (59) and Basque Country (88), will be the ones that will have to receive the least children.
