Almost 42 years ago, a tragedy occurred at the "6 Martie" Factory in Zărnești, as a result of which 35 people lost their lives and several hundred others were injured. Behind the offices and departments where Pegas bicycles and Mobra mopeds were manufactured, a short distance away, war weapons were being made, which were stored in bunkers in the Muscel hills.
