The Higher Court in Novi Sad on Monday lifted the detention order for three of the four activists of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) accused of attacking a group of students in Novi Sad. The fourth defendant was placed under house arrest instead. The prosecution is seeking prison sentences for all four, Serbian media reported.

Three suspects in the beating of a student of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in January of this year, which led to the fall of the Government of Serbia, have been released from custody.
