France-Élaine Duranceau, Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs, has announced the construction of 17 new cellular towers in the region, including one in the Laurentians. This announcement corresponds to the third stage of the Cell Coverage Operation launched in 2022. For this new component, a funding of $27.7 million is intended to cover areas not well served by the cellular connection, that is 17 towers.
