The National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) prohibited the use, distribution and marketing of a mentholada ointment recognized in the country for its effects against various ailments and diseases. It is the Mentisan ointment, of Bolivian industry. According to ANMAT, it is an unregistered drug of which “its origin and processing conditions are unknown”, so it could represent “a risk to health”.
