Terrifying avalanche hits mountains behind Kedarnath Temple; Pilgrims concerned

A massive avalanche hit the mountains surrounding the Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand. No damage to the holy shrine or casualties has been reported from the incident. The avalanche erupted at 6 am this morning when a glacier just 6 to 7 km behind the temple in the Kedar Peak area of the Chorabari glacial lake region cracked.
