Telemundo Lands U.S. Spanish-Language TV Rights to Champions League
The three-season deal gives Telemundo live coverage of every Champions League match and other UEFA club competitions across its TV and streaming platforms.
- On Sunday, Telemundo announced it acquired U.S. Spanish-language broadcast rights for all UEFA men's club competitions for three seasons beginning in 2027-28, including the Champions League, Europa League, Conference League, and Super Cup.
- Coming off the unprecedented success of its FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage, the network aims to dedicate resources to "present the very highest level of club soccer tournaments," said Luis Fernandez, Chairman of NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises.
- Telemundo reaches 96% of U.S. Hispanic TV households, though its World Cup viewership extended beyond Spanish speakers; the network already carries Spanish-language broadcasts for the Premier League, the Olympics, and Liga MX.
- On Thursday, Telemundo announced it will carry more than 100 matches per season from Germany's Bundesliga, expanding its live soccer offerings across all NBCUniversal platforms.
