BERLIN, Md. – An 18-year-old swimmer has died after being pulled from the water unconscious Thursday afternoon, officials said. Lifeguards were alerted that two swimmers were in distress south of the Chincoteague Beach parking lot. One of the swimmers was rescued, but the other was found unresponsive and brought to shore.
