Task force of ex-CEOs, public servants to advise government on public service reform
The nine-member group will review digital government, major projects and Arctic sovereignty as part of a yearlong mandate backed by four foundations.
- Today, a task force of CEOs and senior public servants assembled in Ottawa to advise the federal government on modernizing decision-making, digital government, AI, and Arctic sovereignty.
- Backing from the Clean Economy Fund, the Hewitt Foundation, the Ivey Foundation, and the Jarislowsky Foundation allows the task force to operate independently throughout its yearlong mandate.
- The nine-member panel includes a former national security adviser to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and a former CEO of Trans Mountain Corporation, along with former deputy ministers.
- Separately, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency published a Federal Register notice establishing ANCHOR-CI to replace the 20-year Critical Infrastructure Partnership Advisory Council framework.
- ANCHOR-CI creates four council types, including Cross-Sector Councils and Regional Coordinating Councils, designed to tackle emerging threats, AI issues, and supply-chain vulnerabilities across interconnected sectors.
