Suspected Pakistani Drones Spotted Along LoC in Rajouri, Army on High Alert – Firstpost

Security forces detected multiple drones from Pakistan near Jammu and Kashmir's border, prompting ground searches after an arms consignment was recovered, officials said.

  • On Friday night, authorities found a recovered arms consignment allegedly dropped by a drone from Pakistan in Paloora village of Ghagwal near the International Border, including two pistols, three magazines, 16 rounds and a grenade.
  • In Mankote, a drone-like object moved from Tain to Topa at 6.25 pm, with sightings also at Khabbar, Teryath at 6.35 pm and hovering over Chak Babral, Ramgarh sector around 7.15 pm.
  • Army troops guarding the Nowshera sector, LoC, Rajouri fired from medium and light machine guns on observing drone movement over Gania-Kalsian village around 6.35 pm, and a ground search operation was launched by security forces, officials said.
  • Officials said all flying objects came from the Pakistan side and returned after hovering over Indian territory for a few minutes.
