- The Rapid Support Forces accepted a U.S.-led humanitarian truce proposed by the Quad on Thursday, following its seizure of el-Fasher city over a week earlier.

The agreement to the proposal comes over a week after the RSF seized el-Fasher city that has been under siege for over 18 months. It was also the last Sudanese military stronghold in Sudan’s western Darfur region.
According to the RSF militia, the Civil War Party has agreed to a ceasefire and now sees the country's government on the move to agree.
