Students get involved with Deane’s Children’s Park site plan
From May 12-22, Mercer Island’s Parks Capital team visited 54 classrooms across all four elementary schools to hear from more than 1,200 students about the Deane’s Children’s Park site plan. Kids from K-5 voted on play equipment, shared theme ideas to go with Kenton’s Dragon, and even drew their dream playgrounds. This hands-on activity gave students a chance to shape the future of their community — and their ideas will help guide the playground…
