Statement by the Joint Association on the impact of the statutory minimum wage

The European Minimum Wages Directive (EU) 2022/2041 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 19 October 2022 on adequate minimum wages in the European Union aims, among other things, to create a framework for the adequacy of statutory minimum wages in order to achieve adequate living and working conditions. The aim of setting and updating minimum wages should be, among other things, to reduce poverty despite employment.
