State Unemployment Rises to 4.1% in November

Arkansas' unemployment rose to 4.1%, the highest since 2021, with 700 fewer non-farm payroll jobs as the state follows the national increase to 4.6%, federal data show.

The state’s unemployment rate continued climbing in November, rising two-tenths of a percentage point to 4.1%, the Arkansas Department of Commerce reported Wednesday. The jobless rate was 3.9% in September. Civilian labor data for October was not available due the federal government shutdown.
