Slovenia's water polo team secured their place at the European Championship with a third win in the third match of the qualifying tournament in Kranj. After their wins against the Czech Republic and Poland, they also beat Great Britain 16:6.

FTC-Telekom defended their title in the Men's Water Polo Champions League. Krisztián Manhercz, who was named the Most Valuable Player of the Malta Final Four, said that the bar was high due to last year's successes, but they have already set new goals for themselves.

Slovenian water polo players have already secured a new appearance at the European Championship with a victory over Great Britain (16:6) in the qualifying tournament in Kranj today.
