In my childhood days on The Commons, the first warm days of spring heralded skipping ropes, hopscotch and Easter bonnets. For my mother, the most important order of business was my bonnet and a new Easter outfit to go with it. A rare trip to Belleville and a visit to The Children’s Shop were in order.
