The change comes just six days before the tests begin in Catalonia and 24 hours after saying they would remain only in language and literature.
The University Entrance Exams (PAU) examiners will deduct 0.1 points for spelling errors in the Catalan, Spanish and literature exams, but with a maximum of 20% of the overall grade (2 points). In foreign languages, up to 10% of the exercise will be deducted in reading comprehension if the expression is deficient.
