A Colorado backcountry skier has the joint effort of six different departments to thank for their rescue after falling 200 feet on Torrey’s Peak. The skier suffered a lower leg injury in the fall near the top of Emperors couloir and came to a stop above a cliff band. 6 field teams were inserted by ground to ascend over 2500 feet of snow and rock to reach the injured skier.
