- On Wednesday, Kerala State Police Chief Ravada A Chandrasekhar constituted a nine-member special investigation team to conduct a preliminary inquiry into alleged financial transactions between Cochin Minerals and Rutile Limited and Exalogic Solutions, the defunct company of Opposition Leader Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter.
- The inquiry follows a report from the Enforcement Directorate seeking prosecution of Vijayan, his daughter Veena Vijayan, and son-in-law P.A. Mohamed Riyas under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, which mandates state police to act on such findings.
- BJP State vice-president Shone George released a diary page alleging CMRL made payments to multiple UDF and LDF leaders, while the ED previously alleged the company made fraudulent payments of ₹2.78 crore to Exalogic under the guise of "IT consultancy services."
